LOS ANGELES, CALIF – The University of Idaho track and field team opened up the busy weekend with a petite group of athletes competing at the CSULA Twilight Open and the Mt.SAC Relays on Thursday.

At the CSULA Twilight Open, the Vandals produced impressive marks totaling three season-best and one career-best.

Sophomore Wednesday Walton ran a season-best time of 1:05.36 in the 400m hurdles, finishing 13th in the event. Sophomore teammate Andrea Pikes also ran a season-best time of 26.22 in the 200m, while junior Tayler Feinauer heaved the javelin for a season-best mark of 117-7 (35.85m), finishing eighth in the event.

On the men's side, senior Zach Trumbauer hit a career-best mark in the hammer throw with a lob of 183-6 (55.95m) to finish 10th in the event.

At the Mt.SAC Relays, senior Holly Stanton finished fourth in the B section of the 3000-meter steeplechase. She ran a career-best time of 10:28.67 in the event.

The action continues tomorrow for the Vandals. Idaho will compete at the Bryan Clay Invitational and the Long Beach Invitational. Events begin at 9 a.m. (PT) on the field at the Bryan Clay Invitational with the women's long jump and pole vault. The Long Beach Invitational features the hammer throw at 10 a.m., and both the men's and women's 10000m. The majority of the events at the Long Beach Invitational will take place on Saturday.
