Meet Notes SchedulePOCATELLO, Idaho- The Idaho State track and field team is back-in-action April 22-25 for the Robison Invitational hosted by Brigham Young University. The meet is set to begin Wednesday, April 22 with the heptathlon at 12:00 p.m. at the Clarence F. Robison Track and Field Complex in Provo, Utah.
BENGAL MEN TO WATCHSenior
Logan Henderson finished fourth in the men's decathlon at the Mt. SAC Relays Thursday, April 16 with a Big Sky standard score of 6,937 points. Henderson's run was highlighted by his second place finish in the 400-meter dash (48.90) and third place finish in the 1,500-meter run (4:21.29). Henderson is currently ranked first in the conference in the decathlon.
Billy Phillips scored for the Bengals with an eighth place finish in the decathlon with a Big Sky standard score of 6,750 points. Phillip's run was highlighted by his first place finish in the discus (47.11 meters) and second place finish in the shot put (13.99 meters).
Jesse Sorensen placed 30th overall with a Big Sky qualifying time of 48.29 in the 400-meter dash . Sorensen also competed in the 200-meter dash and finished 43rd overall with 21.93.
BENGAL WOMEN TO WATCHSenior
Kylie Hutchison led the Bengals on the second day of the Mt. SAC Relays in Walnut, Calif. with a 5,000-meter career best time of 16:33.64.
Katie Nicholls competed in the 800-meter and finished with a time of 2:10.14,
Hayli Worthington qualified for the Big Sky Championships with a 400-meter time of 1:00.88 and
Caitlin Maulin placed sixth in the pole vault with a Big Sky qualifying standard of 3.90 meters.
Samantha Simmons led the Bengals on the first day of the Mark Faldmo Invitational in Logan, Utah Friday, April 17 with a first place finish in the pole vault (3.66 meters). She is currently ranked fourth in the conference.
PRESEASON COACHES' POLLThe Idaho State men's track and field team was picked to finish fifth with 87 points and the women ninth with 41 points in the Big Sky Outdoor Preseason Coaches' Poll.
The 2015 Big Sky Outdoor Track and Field Championships will take place May 13-16 at Eastern Washington University in Cheney, Wash.
