When did training for 2012 XC begin?
My training for XC consisted of swimming or biking two days a week, running four days a week, and one rest day a week. Training started June 4th for the 2012 season.

What was my best race this year and what made it special?
My best race this year was the Idaho State Championships at Hells Gate State Park in Lewiston, ID. My second place finish, with my PR 18:13, and the Lady Vikings bringing home the state championship trophy and also setting the Idaho state meet record with a score of 29 points made this meet very special.

Which course do I love to run….and which is a thorn?
My favorite course to run is Farragut State Park because of the beautiful lake scenery and the miles of dirt trails. I have continually visited Farragut since I was six months old. The course that is a thorn to me is the course at Post Falls High School because the terrain is all thick grass and there are no substantial hills. The course is also very mundane, so it is easy to fall asleep.

About my last race.
My last race was Nike Cross Nationals in Portland, OR. I loved the extremely muddy course because it was challenging and a true cross country course. It was an amazing experience to race at a national level. My team and I made memories there that we will remember all our lives.

Am I doing indoor and am I training:
I am not running indoor, but I have started training for outdoor TF. My training includes three days a week of swimming laps and weights, three days a week of running and one rest day a week. As the track season Approaches I will cut back on swimming and increase the running mileage.

Am I looking forward to outdoor? what events?, and what goals?
I do not enjoy TF as much as cross country, but I do look forward to racing again in the spring. I will be running the 3200, 1600, and the 4x800 relay I may be also running the open 800 this year. My goals in TF this year are to place in the top six in the 3200 and the 1600, and for our 4x800 relay team to get a state championship.

What is my top college picks?
My top 3 picks for colleges are Montana State University, Northern Arizona University, and Oregon State University. I have not committed to a college yet.

Other than running what else do I focus on?
Besides running, I focus on achieving good grades, forming strong relationships with my family and friends, and giving back to the community.
