Every year we play witness to remarkable moments in high school track and field, whether it's on the track or in the field. And without fail, something incredible always happens. 

As these groundbreaking moments take place, we're there to capture them for a nationwide audience. But we wanted to ask: Which senior boys athlete this year has had the most transformative career, among others?

We're going to dig hard to find out what you're thoughts are on this subject, and the winner will get a special feature written on their careers, a highlight video based around their accomplishments and, of course, some MileSplit swag.

Liam Anderson, Redwood (CA): 

  • 1-time NXN winner (2018)

  • PR of 14:55.30 in the 5K -- also an NXN record
  • 1-time CIF outdoor 1600m champion
  • PRs of 1:57.02 in 800m, 4:09.31 in 1600m, 8:51.89 in 3200m, 9:04.49 in 2-mile

Tyrese Cooper, Miami Norland (FL): 

  • 10-time AAU Junior Olympic, 5-time NBNO, 4-time Florida state champion
  • 2-time NBNI champion, with PRs of 21.05 in 200m, 32.87 in 300m, 46.01 in 400m, 1:01.88 in 500m
  • PRs of 10.32 in 100m, 20.46 in 200m, 38.31 in 300mH, 45.23 in 400m, 1:57.93 in 800m
  • Freshman national class record in 400m, sophomore class record in 400m
  • Set national record in 300m indoors until it was broken by Herron
  • Finished freshman season with nation class leads in 100, 200, 400; sophomore class leads in 100m, 200m, 400m; junior class lead in 400m
  • Was a dominant figure in Florida and nationally for entire track and field career

Haze Farmer, Lake Hamilton (AR): 

  • 2-time state pole vault champion in Arkansas
  • 5,190 points in the Decathlon
  • 10 times over 17 feet in the pole vault outdoors, including 17-4 PR
  • 5 times over 17 feet in the pole vault indoors, including 17-5 PR
  • Competed in the 10 decathlon events over career
  • Finished sophomore season with national class lead in PV; junior class lead in PV

Matthew Boling, Houston Strake Jesuit (TX): 

  • 9.98 seconds in the 100m all conditions in 2019, only second athlete to accomplish feat
  • Sixth fastest wind-legal 100m all-time in 10.13 seconds
  • 3-time Texas State Champion
  • Five long jump marks over 25 feet
  • PRs of 10.13 in the 100m, 20.55 in the 200m, 46.15 in the 400m, 26-3.5 in LJ, 6-7 in HJ
  • Was a viral sensation in 2019
  • Current senior national class lead in 100m

Alex Maier, Flower Mound (TX): 

  • 3 top 15 NXN performances, 1 top 5 Foot Locker finish
  • 3-time NXN, 1-time Foot Locker qualifier, 1-time Texas XC Champion
  • 14:34.92 PR for 5K
  • PRs of 4:09.41 in the 1600m, 8:52.30 in the 3200m and 14:25.60 in the 5K (track)
  • Ran the 800m, 1600m, 3K, 3200m, 2-mile, DMR, 5K
  • Finished sophomore year with national class lead in 3200m
  • One of Texas' best distance athletes since sophomore year

Jacob Furland, Providence Classical (RI): 

  • 2-time Rhode Island state champion, 1-time NBNO champion
  • PR of 224-2 in hammer throw, 71-4 in weight throw indoors
  • Let freshman class in hammer throw; junior class lead in hammer throw

Brian Herron, Atlanta Lakeside (GA): 

  • Made decision to run unattached for high school career in 2018
  • PRs of 10.75 in 100m, 20.93 in 200m, 46.07 in 400m outdoors
  • PRs of 6.95 in 60m, 20.95 in 200m, 32.64 in 300mh, 46.31 in 400m indoors
  • National 300m indoor record holder, MileSplit50 2018 Indoor Winner
  • Member of World Junior Record holding USA Junior team in 4x400

Samuel Affolder, Loudoun Valley (VA): 

  • 2-time national team XC champion with the Vikings
  • 4 national titles in the DMR, 4x800, 4xMile at NBNI, including three this year
  • 2-time NXN, 1-time Foot Locker Nationals qualifier
  • 3-time state champion, 2-time VHSL XC Champion, 14:58.10 PR for 5K
  • Finished sophomore year with national class lead in 1600m
  • Competed in 400m, 800m, 1K, 1500m, 1600m, 1-Mile, 3KSC, 3200m, plus relays

Kurt Powdar, Oscar Smith (VA): 

  • 2-time state champion in VA
