Girls

Auto Qualifiers:

1. Bozeman (MT), 103 points

2. Summit (OR), 142 points

Potential Wildcards:

3. Sunset (OR), 149 points

PROs: beat Summit, 92 to 103, at Nike Portland Meadows Invitational; only 7 pts behind Summit at NXN NW; had a strong performance in 2015 as they took second at NXN NW and then outperformed NXR champs Bozeman by placing 7th at NXN. This team performs well at nationals.

CONs: When Sunset beat Summit at Nike Portland Meadows, both teams were 2-3 behind Timpanogos, who placed just 15th at NXN SW.

4. Jackson Hole (WY), 160 points

CON: won Liberty Bell Invitational in Colorado but not against any nationally ranked programs; was 4th at Bob Firman behind Jesuit, American Fork and Davis, none of whom finished in qualifying position for NXN; also third at BYU Autumn Classic behind Davis, Skyridge.

Boys

3. North Central (WA), 148 points

4. Skyline (ID), 181 points

CONs: I don't believe this region will have a wild card selection as third place finisher North Central High finished second to Crater (fifth at NXN NW) at the Border Clash a week after the NXR Meet. State champs in Washington have not really faced any other teams all year. Likewise, Idaho state champs Skyline smoked everyone in their state but they have just raced locally. No wins over ranked programs.
