Why: Only a freshman, Thorvaldson has yet to lose a race in high school and was recently crowned Wyoming's state XC champion with a 5K PR of 17:49.31. She undoubtedly boasts the requisite endurance to thrive at Eagle Island -- Thorvaldson has won two 10K road races this year -- but her track PRs are lacking compared to some of the other individual favorites.
