Kayson Smith of Madison had a personal best clearance of 6'04" last year at the Tiger Grizz Invitational, but has already soared to a new personal best of 6'06" in a five-way meet against Aberdeen, Burley, Twin Falls and Jerome back on March 17th.

Off to a hot start in 2022, Seth Nelson of Boise came into this season with a personal best of 15'00", achieved twice last year in the final two weeks of the season. Already this year, Nelson cleared a career high 15'08" indoors at the National Pole Vault Summit in January and has backed it up with a state leading outdoor clearance of 15'03" in a dual meet against Centennial. Last year's 5A state champion, Noah Peterson of Meridian, cleared 14'06" in his lone competition thus far in 2022.

Last year's 5A state champion, Eli Lawrence of Meridian is your current state leader with his jump of 46'06.75" at the BTC all-comers in February. Lawrence comes into the 2022 season with a personal best of 48'05" set at the outdoor nationals in Eugene, Oregon.
