SACRAMENTO, CA. - Emmett grad Landon Helms '22 claimed his third U.S. National decathlon title yesterday at the 2022 USATF National Junior Olympic Championships in Sacramento, California. This win was field in part by three, decathlon personal best marks in the 400m, 1500m and high jump. This marks the third and final national decathlon championship for the future Texas A&M Aggie for the summer, having won the NSAF Nike Outdoor National Championship and the U20 National Championship, both taking place in Eugene, Oregon. At the NSAF Nike Outdoor National Championship, Helms set a PB with a score of 7,051.
