It looks like it is Timberlake's time to shine, led by Jacob Barnhart who will also look to add an individual title to what could be a banner day. Timberlake's 2-5 are only separated by 17-seconds and will look to keep that pack tight in hopes of hoisting the 3A state championship trophy. On paper, it looks like Kimberly High School is poised for a runner-up finish, but last year's state champion Sugar-Salem, Fruitland, McCall-Donnelly, and Snake River will all have something to say about that. McCall-Donnelly's Jack McManus and Barnhart are the only 3A athletes to go sub-16 this season and are just separated by one second, 15:58-15:59. Look for these two athletes to match each other's moves and it should make for a great finish. McManus finished third last year (16:53) while Barnhart finished ninth (17:10).

TOP 5 TEAM PREDICTIONS:
1. Timberlake High School
2. Kimberly High School
3. Sugar-Salem High School
4. McCall-Donnelly High School
5. Fruitland High School

The Panthers of Coeur d'Alene Charter are the hands-down favorites in 3A from a team and individual standpoint. The defending 3A individual champion, McKenna Kozeluh, is the clear class of the field with her season's best, 17:38 at the District I 3A Championships. The Panthers should have at least three, potentially four athletes crack the top 10 en route to a state championship, a huge jump from their seventh-place finish last year. Last year's state champions, Snake River, looks to claim that team runner-up spot, with Teton, Sugar-Salem, Weiser, and McCall-Donnelly duking it out for those next positions.

TOP 5 TEAM PREDICTIONS:
1. Coeur d'Alene Charter High School
2. Snake River High School
3. Sugar-Salem High School
4. Teton High School
5. McCall-Donnelly High School
