Landon Heemeyer Named Idaho XC Gatorade Player of the Year

Rocky Mountain High School Junior Landon Heemeyer was named the 2023 Idaho Gatorade Player of the Year for Boys cross country. The 6-foot-2 junior is the first Cross country runner to be named Player of the year from Rocky Mountain High School. Heeymeyer Led rocky Mountain to the Idaho State cross country championship this year. With an all-classification record time of 14:38.8 Heeymeyer set himself apart from the rest all season long. On his way to a State Championship Landon won the Bob Firman Invitational breaking the meet record and also helping his team win the meet. Congratulations Landon on your accomplishment.
