Tulsa, Okla. - The University of Tulsa women\'s track team concluded the Conference USA Outdoor Track Championships in fifth-place in a field of 12 teams, while the Golden Hurricane men earned a sixth-place mark in a field of eight. The TU teams combined for 17 top-five marks, 15 personal-bests, set four school records and had eight tracksters pick up all-conference honors. Junior Rickey Wilson, Jr., received all-conference first-team accolades in both the 110-meter hurdles and 400-meter hurdles. He set a personal-best, a school record and qualified for NCAA Regionals with his time of 13.99 in the 110-meter hurdles, and turned in a first-place time of 53.48 in the 400-meter hurdles.

niversity of Montana track and field coach Tom Raunig announced Wednesday that Steven Gimple of Spokane, Wash., has signed a National Letter of Intent and will begin competing for the Grizzlies in 2006-07. Raunig\'s recruiting class is now up to 13 student-athletes, with seven from Montana and six from out of state. Gimple, who will be a 2006 graduate of Mead High School, was a member of MHS\'s cross country team that achieved a No. 3 national ranking in 2004 and a No. 4 national ranking in 2005. His cross country five-kilometer personal best is 15:20. On the track, Gimple has a 1,600-meter personal best of 4:26 and a 3,200-meter personal best of 9:23. \"Steve is a hard worker that should excel at the longer races in college,\" Raunig said.

The Broken Arrow native beat Nike team member and former Colorado standout Renee Metivier by almost two seconds with a run of 4:17.46.

ORU Men\'s 4x800 Relay Captures First Penn Relays Championship Press Release Apr 30, 2006

Philadelphia, Penn.- The Oral Roberts University 4x800 meter relay team captured its first ever championship at the Penn Relays on Saturday afternoon at Franklin Field in Philadelphia, Penn. The 4x800 meter relay ran a combined time of 7:18.74, besting second place Villanova and third place Azusa Pacific, who ran times of 7:19.06 and 7:23.85. Adrian Foster started to Golden Eagles off strong, leading off with a time of 1:53.2. Foster then handed off to Shaun Smith, who split a time of 1:45.9. James Wanjiku ran the third leg of the relay, turning in a time of 1:51.6 before handing off to indoor all-american Prince Mumba who anchored the relay with a time of 1:48.00.

After a blistering 1:50.98 800 this weekend at Pasco, he also holds the top in the 400 and the 1500. Watch out, this guy has set the bar for track this year.
Kyle Schauble of Kamiakin is also setting his marks across the board, he holds top times in the 110H, 300H, 200 and LJ. Kyle will be facing off Brandon Graef of Skyline this weekend at Bellevue. Both of these guys are burning their way to the top of the game in the 300H. It should be a race to watch!
Kayla McKeiren of Richland is also stepping up with top marks in 400,200 and LJ events for the girls.
