Idaho high school track and field athletes posted personal records across multiple events during competitions held April 21-23.
Cooper Williams (Butte County) won the boys' 100 meters at the Fred Simpson Invitational in 10.77, improving from his previous best of 11.23. The mark ranks fifth in Idaho and set a school record for Butte County High School. Williams also ran 22.64 in the 200 meters, dropping his PR from 23.40.
Deveyah Jackson-Johnson (Mountain View) finished second in the girls' 100 meters at Borah v Mountain View & Boise with a time of 13.30, lowering her previous mark of 14.10 from April 2026. The sophomore now ranks 139th among 1,884 athletes in Idaho.
Luis Escobar (Centennial) placed second in the boys' 200 meters at Centennial, Capital @ Ridgevue, clocking 23.22 to improve from 24.19. The senior ranks 120th in the state and 24th among Idaho's 215 senior competitors in the event.
McKenzie Hennefer (Carey) won the girls' 200 meters at the Fred Simpson Invitational in 27.04, dropping nearly two seconds from her March 2026 mark of 28.66. The sophomore also set a 400-meter PR of 1:03.96, improving from 1:05.39.
Kylie Bender (Lewiston) ran 13.30 in the girls' 100 meters at JV Regionals, placing third and improving from 13.79. The freshman ranks 139th statewide and 21st among Idaho's 580 freshman competitors.
Julian Knight (Sandpoint) won the boys' 800 meters at JV Regionals in 2:06.83, cutting more than five seconds from his previous best of 2:11.96. The sophomore ranks 134th among 1,114 Idaho athletes in the event.
Nate Forsmann (Prairie) threw 151-1 to win the boys' discus at the Prairie Track Meet, adding nearly eight feet to his April 2026 mark of 143-3. The senior ranks 15th in Idaho and fifth among the state's 110 senior discus throwers.
